9.30.08 Worcestershire sauce

How long does it take your average household domestic to go through 18 oz. of Worcestershire sauce? A long, stinkin' time.

9.29.08 Wildcat

Simon actually came on our afternoon walk today. It was pretty cute to have our cat strolling along with us on the way to the playground.

9.24.08 Stowaway

As I was emptying the washing machine, I noticed this shiny little guy stuck to the interior. I'm leaving him there until he wears off.

9.18.08 Goodbye Bennigans

The Bennigan's restaurants have been around for just over 30 years. They closed their doors due to bankruptcy on July 29, 2008. Unfortunately, no one was given any notice, so that Tuesday morning, store managers were instructed to close their doors and inform all their employees that they were out of a job effective immediately.

9.17.08 Low-flying C-130

A C-130 is an American four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft built by Lockheed. They are very large, very loud, and, yes, they really do fly that low around here. I did not have to zoom much to get it that big in the frame.

9.15.08 So it begins

With the cold weather over the weekend, the leaves have decided to begin their autumn makeover.

9.14.08 Eye of the Oracle

This is what I'm reading: Eye of the Oracle by Bryan Davis. I highly recommend it for young adults (ages 12 and up) who love fantasy stories.

It tells the tale of where dragons fit into history from just before the great flood and Noah's ark, up through Merlin and King Arthur's time, and all the way to our modern day world. Great, great story, but it is SO stinkin' LONG.

9.13.08 Double knots

My daughter woke up early on Saturday morning, before anyone else was awake, and to amuse herself, she tied everyone's shoes in double knots.

9.12.08 No Hat or Shades Required

I've never seen such a thing, but it sure is sad that the owners of this business felt the need to post such a notice.

9.11.08 Zombie boy

9.9.08 Catching a thief in the Night

I wasn't sure how this would turn out as I took it on a whim while I was driving. (I know...it's a bad habit.) Loved the streaming colors of the police lights more than the blurry hummingbirds I tried to capture on camera earlier in the day.

9.8.08 One Shoe Diaries

Ever since JT posted an image of a single shoe along with a link to the One Shoe Diaries, I have been on the lookout for an opportunity to shoot one of my own. And then I found this little Sheila.

What do you think her story is? Comment and share!

9.6.08 Mt. of the Holy Cross

Guest photographer today: My husband, Mr. Incredible. He climbed to the summit of the Mount of the Holy Cross, one of 54 14,000-foot mountains in Colorado. He captured tons of great images, but this is the money shot.

I don't care if Hollandaise sauce can kill you. It's still ever so yummy.

9.1.08 Dangling

I have no idea why people do this. Has anyone ever thrown shoes onto a wire or had their shoes absconded in this manner?
