Kalidescopes

(Yes, I'm backposting, but I meant to post this a few days ago.)

Inspired by my friend Nia over at Flutterby 365 and her kaleidoscope shot for Project 365, I took a few of my own. I love the way they turned out!

I Heart Faces, Week 7 Contest

One of my dear CP teen writers, Twin4God, posted about a fun photo site called iHeartFaces.com. I thought this would be fun to share with the photographers who visit my blog.

They have weekly contests with various themes, adults' or kids' faces. They keep track of submissions by allowing entrants to link directly to their posts.

The "prize" is having your photo displayed on their homepage with comments from the judges and a link to your blog. This week, the theme is black and white, and I'm entering this one:

You can check out all the entries for this week HERE.

'08 Project 365 Final Video

As a final huzzah toward my first Project 365, I put together this video which includes all the images from my 2008-09 photo journey. Don't worry, it's only a few seconds shy of three minutes long. Just don't blink. ;o)

Doodle 4 Google

Google.com is having a Doodle Design competition for K-12 students to play around with their homepage logo and see what new designs they come up with. They are inviting U.S. kids to join in the doodling fun, around the intriguing theme "What I Wish for the World."

I SO want one of those drawing screens. And I love how you can see the lava lamp doing its thing there on his desk.

Doodle 4 Google Competition

Registration closes March 17, 2009. You will need to register through your school/teacher if you're interested. Submit designs by March 31, 2009.

366/365 (For Leap Year) Bowling Ball

Have you ever noticed how street signs portray animals in near-anatomical correctness while people walk around with bowling balls for heads?

***

Thus, ends my first Project 365 (+1 for leap year). Yes, I say my first because I am continuing this crazy thing into 2009. It's way too much fun, and I have met a lot of great people through this journey. How could I possibly give all that up?
