The snow they said would come did indeed make an appearance. Luckily, even though it came while we were out and about, the roads were fine. That's the best kind of snow!
We've had relatively warm weather lately, but there are still spots of ice and piles of snow that are holding out in the shadows for as long as they can.
My friend Annie and I were trying to come up with a name for the nasty piles of dirty snow that is leftover after all the other snow has melted. I think "skrow" should be the name--black as a crow, not quite snow.

The music really makes this one work as an ominous, magical scene.

Project 365: Photo Edition - Snow Cotton Dedicated to blog follower Rachel B
I love these soft, fluffy snowflakes much more than the ones that cause the roads to get super slick. This is dedicated to Rachel B because...who doesn't like a snowflake?

I love fluffy snow. Not so great for snowmen and snowballs, but still great fun to blow around.

Project 365: Photo Edition - First Snowman of the Year
Because I can't leave well enough alone and because I am intrigued by the possibilities of taking a video a day, I decided to proceed doing a video AND a photo a day. After all, they are different mediums and produce different artistic results. We'll see how this progresses and if I drive myself crazy in the process. So here we go...
