Day 17 comes to a close

Day 17: Final, final
Just got in a 10-minute writing session to push my daily count over 6,000 words. I only needed about 50 and I wrote and even 444 for that session. So the final tally for the day was 6,391. I don't think I've written that many words in one day since last year's NaNoWriMo!

It's so satisfying and highly refreshing to see that 19K there at the "to go" entry. I realized as I drove home from Panera this evening that I have 13 days left to write 20,000 words. At first, it sounded liked a lot. But really, it isn't much considering I have been able to write around 5,000 words for each good day of writing. Just 4-5 more of those and I should actually be done. Imagine that!

I finished on Nov. 27 last year. Maybe I can beat that in 2006.
